Thorough check-ups and preventative care can help prevent or identify serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your pets feeling their best:
Wellness Exams and Preventative Care
Routine exams and preventative care are very important for your pet’s health. The gradual onset of disease in your healthy pet may go unnoticed. An annual assessment is the best way to detect a potential disease early and before it worsens. Vaccinations, routine dental care, and parasite prevention also play an important role in disease prevention. Annual blood tests are recommended for pets, no matter their age. Blood tests can help with the early detection of kidney and liver disease, infection, thyroid disease, cancer, and more. We provide complete thorough examinations and preventative care for your pet with compassionate care and consideration of your pet’s needs. We offer complimentary initial exams for your newly adopted pet when you adopt from a rescue group or shelter (must schedule an appointment within 14 days of adoption).
End of Life Care
We offer euthanasia and cremation services. We know your pet is a special member of your family and we wan to help with your pet’s health and relieve any pain and discomfort that your loved one may be experiencing. If you have made the difficult decision to euthanize your pet, a variety of options are offered. Our crematorium offers private or communal cremation, and can also create beautiful clay or ink paw prints. We have a private and comfortable room dedicated for you, your pet, and anyone else you wish to be present for your pet’s euthanasia. If you do not wish to be present, you reserve the right to do so. Whichever option you choose, your pet will be surrounded by loved ones and will be served whatever delicious treats they are willing to receive. You will meet with a member of our medical team and a doctor prior to performing any services. An intravenous catheter will be placed to allow us easy access to your pet’s vein and to make the process as peaceful as possible. Once the intravenous catheter has been placed, you are allowed to spend as much time as you would like with your pet. Once you have decided you are ready to proceed, we will sedate your pet and then administer the euthanasia solution. If you wish to spend more time with your pet, we welcome you to do so. When you are ready, you are welcome to exit the building through a door dedicated only to you. We understand if you prefer to perform end of life care in the comfort of you and your pet’s home. Emergency Services
We offer limited daytime emergency care during our office hours. Please call our office to determine if we have the capacity to see your pet on an emergency basis, and we will work with you to schedule a convenient time to bring your pet in for evaluation and treatment. This approach allows us to allocate the necessary resources and team members to ensure that your pet receives the attention and care they require promptly. Emergency assessments are offered at an increased fee.
Surgery
Our doctors and staff are dedicated to the complete well-being of your pet so we offer spay/neuters, mass removals, laceration repairs, and more. More complicated surgeries such as anal gland removals, amputations, or invasive mass removals can be performed with our mobile board certified surgeon. All anesthetic procedures are performed with the doctor and trained veterinary technicians. An intravenous (IV) catheter will be placed to allow us easy veinous access, and IV fluids are administered to your pet while under anesthesia. In addition to receiving IV fluids, your pet’s ECG, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and carbon dioxide levels are continuously monitored. Pre-anesthetic blood tests are required before procedures for all pets. Our technicians closely monitor and ensure the safety and comfort of your pet when they are recovering from surgery. We offer laser therapy to help accelerate post surgical wound healing. When your pet is here for surgery, you are welcome to call or text and check in on your loved one at any point.
Orthopedic Procedures
We have access to a mobile board certified surgeon to perform a number of orthopedic procedures including knee stabilizing procedures, femoral head ostectomies, fractures repairs, bone biopsies, and more. Please contact our office to schedule a consult with our veterinarians to determine if your pet is in need of any of these procedures.
Dentistry
Dental cleanings are one of the most common procedures we do and one of the most important. Symptoms of dental disease include bad breath, fractured teeth, red and/or bleeding gums, or inappetence. Untreated dental disease can lead to loss of teeth, discomfort, infections, heart disease, or kidney disease. We perform all our dental procedures with the use of general anesthesia. An intravenous (IV) catheter will be placed to allow us easy veinous access, and IV fluids are administered to your pet while under anesthesia. In addition to receiving IV fluids, your pet’s ECG, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and carbon dioxide levels are continuously monitored. Pre-anesthetic blood tests are required before the procedure for all pets. During a dental procedure, your pet will have their teeth scaled and polished, and dental x-rays performed. We determine if your pet needs dental extractions based on the radiographic and visual findings. If there are any questionable teeth or teeth that need to be removed for your pet’s comfort, we are able to perform any extractions at the same time of the cleaning. If your pet has had dental extractions, we offer laser therapy to accelerate surgical healing.
Diagnostic Imaging
We are able to perform and develop radiographs (x-rays) in our facility on any size dog or cat. Depending upon the area of your pet’s body needing radiographs and your pet’s need, we may require brief sedation to perform the radiographs. We also have the ability to consult with a board certified veterinary radiologist on any radiographs. We have access to a mobile board certified veterinary radiologists to come to our office to perform ultrasound imaging on your pet.
Laboratory Services
We are able to perform a wide variety of laboratory test, including blood tests (heartworm tests, chemistry panels, hematology panels, and serology panels, etc.), urinalyses, and fecal tests. If you are concerned regarding any new lump found on your pet, we can aspirate it and perform a cytology on it that day. Depending on what we find, we may recommend sending the sample to a board certified pathologist, or performing a biopsy on your pet. We have in-clinic services as well as laboratory services through a wide range of reference laboratories.
Pharmaceutical Services
We have a complete and comprehensive pharmacy allowing us to provide your pet with the medications necessary to treat a wide variety of illnesses and pain or discomfort. We understand that it is not always convenient to pick up medications in our office; that’s why we also offer an online pharmacy to deliver your pet’s food and medications in the comfort of your home.
Laser Therapy
In addition to the above uses, laser therapy is a painless, non-invasive service that can help treat and manage a number of other conditions, including arthritis. It works by stimulating the targeted cells to promote healing. Laser therapy can be used alone; however, we recommend integrating it with traditional medical service to create a multimodal treatment plan for your pet.
