Veterinary Assistant

Mika has been in veterinary medicine for four years, and she’s just getting started. With a lifelong interest in biological sciences and medicine, she eventually realized that the perfect career for her needed to be hands-on, mentally engaging, and rooted in helping others. Veterinary medicine checked every box — and she hasn’t looked back since.

Mika has a strong interest in surgery and enjoys the precision and planning involved in a full procedure day. Her favorite part, though, is holding patients as they wake up from anesthesia, offering comfort and calm during those groggy moments.

Known for being patient, gentle, and just the right amount of funny, Mika thrives on learning and welcomes feedback as a tool to grow. She’s also known for being the unofficial clinic “burp queen,” which keeps things entertaining.

At home, Mika has two rescue cats from Kuwait named Umbreon and Kirara. Outside of work, she’s always creating — whether that’s painting, crafting, photography, cooking new recipes, or dancing and singing in her downtime. She also loves gaming and reading when she’s in recharge mode. Just don’t ask her to walk through a flock of pigeons… especially if they’re above her. It’s a long story.
